KTM / Husqvarna / GASGAS 50-65 Seat Bolt Kit 2009 - 2023The KTM Husqvarna GASGAS 50s and 65s have had the same seat attachment system for a long time, the half turn latching loop has worked well for the most part but it has been known to come to loose allowing the seat to fall off during a race. We have even heard of the loop coming loose for no apparent reason or perhaps a fellow racer bumped the loop when no one was looking, either way a loose seat loop means a loose seat and thats never a good thing. We have even heard of the loop coming loose for no apparent reason or perhaps a fellow racer bumped the loop when no one was looking, either way a loose seat loop means a loose seat and that’s never a good thing.
At Nihilo we specialize in making parts that improve the performance and durability of your machine that’s why we developed the new Seat Bolt Kit. This is how it works, the stock wire loop and under-seat receiver are simply removed and the new “T” receiver will screw right in with the same hardware. Next, you remove the wire loop by using a screwdriver to pry off the funny looking washer. Save the black plastic washer on the top of the seat, it will be used with the new kit. Next, simply slide the new bolt through the seat hole with the black plastic washer underneath it, push down so it’s all the way in and Install the small washer and black clip into the small groove on the shaft of the bolt. This will make sure the bolt will stay in place when the seat is removed. Install your seat as you normally would but take care to line up the bolt with the receive bellow and hand turn the colored bolt until its tight. The treads are long enough to eliminate losing and your seat and it will be tight and secure. It takes a little more time to install but it is a much better alternative than losing your seat during a race.
