The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh.
Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side behind the glove box. Tools: Phillips head screwdriver.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- With glove box closed remove the 2 screws at the bottom and each end of the glove box.
- Open the glove box and remove the 4 screws securing the top of the glove box. Also remove the 2 screws inside the glove box toward the bottom.
- Remove complete glove box assembly.
- In the void left by the glove box assembly, look towards the center console and locate the cabin filter housing cover. Unlatch and remove the cover.
- Remove the old filter.
- Install your new cabin filter.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure and it’s done.
