The Korean War: June 1950 - May 1951, Designer Signature Edition, marks the return of a true wargaming classic by Joseph Balkoski first published in 1986, faithfully remastered and updated with this all-new, supersized edition. Hailed by many as of the premier games covering The Korean War, this two-player operational level simulation covers the first year of the Korean conflict, from June 1950 to May 1951.

This edition of The Korean War features a super-sized map and larger counters and is another Classic Reborn! by Compass.

During this period, the United States found itself involved in a bitter struggle in a remote Asian land that many Americans had not even heard of. Amid the debacles and stunning victories of the first year of war, the very foundation of the American military system - so recently triumphant in the Second World War - was severely shaken. In a war that few Americans understood and which historians have tended to ignore, the foundation of future American diplomacy in the face of communism was laid.

The players control ground and air forces of the United Nations, North Korea, and Communist China. Each player's force consists of a wide variety of units, including infantry, marines, paratroopers, armor, and aircraft. The map is a 1:750,000 representation of the Korean peninsula from Pusan in the south to the Yalu River in the north. In addition to controlling military forces, the players must make a number of political decisions that have an important effect on the game. Above all, the UN player must strive to keep international tensions at a minimum for the purpose of preventing World War Three. Intense escalation and mobilization could have disastrous consequences for the militarily-unprepared United States. On the other hand, insufficient force applied to Korea could lead to the conquest of South Korea by North Korean communists.

This Designer Signature edition of the classic Joseph Balkoski game goes beyond merely incorporating errata found from the original edition; it includes enhancements that include:

- Larger and easier-to-read 9/16" counters and three game maps
- Game map information is updated and includes all-new map artwork
- Enhanced ergonomics are built into the set up and reinforcement charts
- Restrictions on UN build-up and breakdown so UN player cannot perpetually continue Action Phase by reorganizing units
- Modified amphibious assault system that allows UN player to more effectively recreate September 1950 Inchon invasion
- Modified victory conditions that lessen impact of Global Tension
- New random events to make the operation a bit more unpredictable
- Updated rules treatment backed by many illustrations, an index, and clarifications and examples of play to reduce potential questions.
- Updated historical notes

Compact and exactly as pictured! Great quality leather.
Color: Black (Bifold), Color: Black (Bifold)
I am very satisfied with this wallet; it is exactly as described in the listing and shown in the photos. Key Features: • ID Compartment: There is a dedicated section for your ID. It features a mesh cover rather than a fully transparent plastic window. Personally, I don't find this to be a problem because I usually take my ID out to show it anyway, rather than handing over my whole wallet. • Spacious for Bills: Even though it’s a compact bifold, there is plenty of room for bills to fit flat without folding them. There is even a bit of extra space left over. • Design & Size: It’s a very compact and neat wallet, perfect for those who prefer front-pocket options or don't want a bulky feel. Final Verdict: The "full grain patina" leather looks and feels great. If you are looking for a reliable, well-made, and compact wallet, this is a perfect choice.

Durable Leather Wallet with a Minimal Design
Color: Black (Bifold)
This is a nice, heavy-duty wallet that feels built to last. The leather quality is good right out of the box, though it’s a bit stiff at first. If you prefer a softer feel, applying some leather conditioner or Neatsfoot oil helps break it in nicely. The layout is simple and practical. Three card slots on one side, an ID holder on the other, and a full-length pocket for cash. It keeps things minimal, which is great if you don’t want a bulky wallet sticking out of your pocket. The only thing I wish it had is RFID protection, but aside from that, it’s a solid everyday wallet that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Rugged, Practical, and Built to Last
Color: Brown (Bifold)
I’ve been using this Carhartt full grain leather wallet for a while now, and it’s exactly what you’d expect from the brand—tough, reliable, and no-nonsense. The leather has a really nice feel right out of the box, and over time it’s developed a great patina that gives it that broken-in, worn-in look without feeling worn out. I work in a pretty hands-on environment, so my wallet takes a beating being in and out of pockets, around dust, dirt, and everything else—and this one holds up without any issues. The stitching is solid, and the leather doesn’t feel like it’s going to crack or fall apart like some cheaper wallets I’ve had in the past. I went with the bifold style, and it has plenty of room for cards, cash, and IDs without feeling bulky. It strikes a good balance between capacity and comfort in your pocket. Everything stays secure, and it doesn’t stretch out too quickly either. Overall, if you want a durable, good-looking wallet that actually gets better with age, this is a solid choice. Definitely feels like something you’ll have for years.

Unless you're buying it for a child, I'd pass on this one.
Color: Black (Bifold)
Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with this item. It's literally just 2 pieces of leather sewn together. Very flimsy, and all edges are raw/unfinished. The reason it's still getting a couple star rating is because it is a good size for a standard wallet, and it would be comfortable as it is so floppy, but you could probably expect to end up with bent or broken credit cards because of that. Overall I'd say your just paying for the name on this one and I'd pass unless you can get it for super cheap, for there's no way this thing is going to last the test of time.

not impressed
Color: Brown (Bifold), Color: Brown (Bifold)
I own several articles of Carhartt clothing, most of which i got from a thrift store; it has been said that Carhartt meant quality--and quality meant high prices. When a Carhartt item became available through the Vine program, I was surprised, and decided that I would use this opportunity to pick up what I thought was going to be a good quality wallet. Nope. For what they ask for their stuff, you would assume that it was made with high quality materials and in the united states. this wallet misses the mark on both of those points. it is clearly stated on both the packaging and inside the wallet itself that it is made in india. the leather is thin and and may be so to effect the rapid aging and forming of the wallet around its contents, but it only has 3 card slots and a mesh-windowed ID card slot, so that seems like a stretch of an excuse. More likely, Carhartt cheaped out on materials. the stitching looks like it is made with plasticky thread , which may not hold up very long. but it IS embossed with the Carhartt logo, which is all some people need.
