Benefits

We all know fibre is an important part of our diet; after all, it is the fibre we consume that keeps our bowel movements regular. A lack of fibre in our diets can lead to constipation.

How Does Fruit & Fibre Digestive Formula Help?

Our Fruit & Fibre Digestive Formula is a specially tailored high nutrition fruit and fibre formula derived from psyllium husk, flaxseed, sugar beet fibre, fenugreek, apple pectin, rhubarb root, fennel seed, prune juice fruit extract, broccoli, carrot and fig.

This special combination provides over 600mg of dietary fibre per capsule, which helps to maintain a healthy digestive system, bowel regularity and digestive movement and is a key ingredient for a healthy, varied and balanced diet.

There is a well-established link between constipation and a low-fibre diet and our natural ingredients will help you get regular.

An essential companion to any low carb diet such as Keto. It's ideal for anyone looking for a simple and natural way to increase their fibre intake without changing their diet or lifestyle.

Ingredients

Psyllium husk: a leafy-stemmed Eurasian plantain, the husks and seeds of which are used as a laxative and bulking agent in the treatment of constipation. Psyllium is naturally rich in dietary fibre, providing the extra fibre that so many people need in order to maintain regular and healthy bowels. The husks act as a sponge in your body, gently absorbing water and waste material from your digestive system, helping clear your body of harmful toxins. It also stimulates natural bacteria in the bowel.

Flaxseed: one of the best sources of Omega 3 fatty acids, that is generally missing from the Western diet. Flaxseed is also a rich source of lignans, a type of fibre that is changed by friendly bacteria in the gut into compounds that help to fight against disease. Flaxseed contains a natural antioxidant, which is thought to help muscles recover more quickly and has an anti-inflammatory effect that can help to reduce muscle soreness.

Sugar beet fibre: has been scientifically proven to contribute to increasing waste bulk in two ways: the insoluble components of the fibre increase waste bulk by absorbing water in the large intestine, while the soluble components are fermented by bacteria in the large intestine leading to an increase in bacterial mass.

Fenugreek: a bitter, medicinal herb that is loaded with antioxidants and has laxative and anti-parasitic effects. It also soothes irritated tissues, lowers fever, reduces blood sugar, improves digestion and promotes healing. It stimulates the immune system and aids in the removal of toxins from the body through the lymph nodes. The seeds (Methi), in particular, are rich in lipids, protein, phosphorus, iron, calcium, niacin, vitamin C, selenium and various other nutrients. They have stimulant, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, aphrodisiac, and laxative properties.

Apple pectin: a naturally-occurring carbohydrate. Pectin is particularly good at helping to lower blood cholesterol levels. The liver pumps excess cholesterol into the bile, which then enters the intestines. If pectin is present in the intestines, it will bind with the cholesterol and take it out of the body. Pectin also changes into galacturonic acid, which can combine with heavy metals (such as lead and mercury) and certain radioactive materials in the gut and remove them from the body. For people who are prone to constipation, pectin can provide a gentle form of fibre, which acts as a bulk laxative and mops up toxins that enter the intestines.

Rhubarb root: a strong herbal laxative, astringent, gastric stimulant, anti-inflammatory, stomach tonic and antiseptic. It is also used for disorders of the liver, gallbladder and stomach.

Fennel seed: an effective diuretic and potential treatment for hypertension. It also has carminative properties; in other words, it prevents the formation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract or facilitates the expulsion of that gas, thereby combating flatulence. It can also relax the intestines and reduce bloating caused by digestive disorders.

Prune juice: contain mild laxatives, including phenolic compounds and a number of different sugars like sucrose, fructose and sorbitol that help in drawing fluid into the intestines, thus helping the passage of waste out of the body. Research has shown that prune juice greatly helps in increasing the volume of fluid that remains in the waste passing through the intestine, while also causing contractions that aid bowel movement. Sorbitol, in particular, metabolises slowly to support healthy digestive processes.

Broccoli: acts to support the digestive system, bowel regularity and stable blood sugar levels. It contains other essential nutrients like vitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, magnesium, calcium and diindolylmethane - a potent modulator of the innate immune response system with anti-viral and anti-bacterial activity. As a cruciferous vegetable, broccoli is also high in natural organic sulphur, which is needed by the liver to carry out its detoxification processes. Sulphur-containing amino acids (such as taurine and cysteine) are necessary for the production of bile. It is important not to have sluggish bile flow because this is a major exit route for toxins that the liver has broken down.

Carrot: gets its characteristic and bright orange colour from ß-carotene, which is metabolised into vitamin A in humans. Carrots are also rich in dietary fibre, antioxidants, minerals, essential enzymes and vitamins, including vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin K, biotin, potassium and thiamine. Carrots also contain lignin (which helps to strengthen the immune system) and folic acid (which helps to fight against harmful free radicals).

Fig fruit: one of the highest plant sources of calcium, fibre, copper, manganese, magnesium, potassium and vitamin K. They also have smaller amounts of many other nutrients. Figs have a laxative effect and contain many antioxidants. Figs contain pectin and are a good source of the indigestible food fibre lignin, which retains water and helps bulk up the stool.

Beware of the Top Button!!😁
Style: M705
A smooth but weighted feel on a mouse pad. I have mice that move with a much lighter touch, but this is great for the computer I use with my main TV screen. Beware of the top damnable button, the one just before the scroll wheel. It turns off the clicky graduations you wheel as you roll the scroll wheel with your fingertip. When used it unleashes a whirling dervish of a gremlin, your screen will continue to scroll after you want it to stop. Sometimes it will start on its own! Incantations, voodoo, chick bones, curses and magic wands have no effect. Yelling seems to make it worse. There is no other cure other than to push the top button from Hades again. Clicks from the two main buttons are easily audible but not obnoxious. The side buttons for screen forward & back work very well also. This is my second one of these, the first stopped moving smoothly on a pad, no amount of polishing seemed to help so I retired it.

Important Info for Connecting Replacement Mouse
Style: M705
I purchased the MK705 mouse to replace the same model that had simply worn out after over 13 years of faithful service. The MK700/710 Logitech keyboard is still going strong, albeit with a few worn keys. I did however run into an issue when installing the new mouse. At first I left the old unifying receiver that came with the old mouse plugged into a usb port. I installed the batteries in the new mouse, turned it on, and found that it would not work. I figured it needed the new unifying receiver, so I turned off the keyboard and mouse and plugged the new receiver into the same USB port. The new mouse then worked but the keyboard would not. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I phoned Logitech support. The gentleman I spoke with walked me through the connection process, which was done on their website "logiwebconnect.com". Should you run into the same issue, the process is simple. You probably won't need any help from tech support, but if you do, they were easy to get in touch with.

Still the champ
Style: M705
Love it!!! Got this originally when it first came out. The people who talk about the scroll wheel are not very smart. It has a button to switch from hyper to regular scrolling. I do use a mouse pad. So it moves fine. Feels very comfortable in your hand. Obviously this is not for gaming. Great mouse for your home office computer.

Dependable, Reliable

As advertised. Logitech, best mouse for your hard-earned cheddar! It’s not that the (years) old Logitech mouse failed in any operational way, it just got that gummy, sticky surface texture that’s impossible to remove. While shopping for a replacement I noticed an off-brand mouse/keyboard combo and thought, “hey, 2 for 1”…mistake. All was well for about three weeks, long enough that when the gremlins arrived I didn’t immediately associate the new hardware. For the purposes of this discussion, gentle reader, know that I run legacy (what I affectionately refer to as, “Lazarus”) builds. Rigs that started life running Windows Vista/7, died, and that now, resurrected, run 10 and 11, and all that that implies. So, when a mouse started stuttering, of course I thought it was a gremlin in the machine, right? I spent more days than I am comfortable sharing with you pouring over processes and background apps, and registry trims…before Accam’s Razor suggested I eliminate the mouse as a variable. Changing the battery was ineffective, but when I swapped in the ooold Logitech…Yahtzee/Bingo/Booyah…smooth and precise…butter! All I needed was a new Logitech mouse. So, if you’re here you likely are having mouse issues of your own, or you just need one that works…this is it! 😉
