Its more subtle features can lend the same distinctive, citrusy bitterness of Campari without stealing the show.

Interestingly, Aperol was first introduced in 1919 by the Barbieri brothers, who were looking for a new product to add to their range of liqueurs. They came up with Aperol as a lighter and more refreshing alternative to the bitter digestifs that were popular at the time.

Tasting Notes
