Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced in the Domfront region of Normandy, France, Christian Drouin’s Calvados Selection combines apple and pear distillates—leaning on the sharp freshness of pears and the rounder smoothness of cider apples. The spirits are distilled in column stills and aged in older, neutral casks to retain the fruit character rather than overlay heavy oak. The result is a lighter, lively Calvados-style brandy bottled at 40% ABV.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Fresh orchard breeze—ripe apples, green pear, subtle floral blossom and a hint of pressed apple-juice sweetness.
Palate: Clean and crisp with sweet apple and pear core, some citrus peel lift, light spice (perhaps white pepper) and a mineral chalkiness emerging from the age and fruit skins.
