Before you come to your appointment

You should wear loose-fitting clothing, so that you don't feel restricted or uncomfortable. It's a good idea not to have too many layers.

Indian head massage is kind to hair; it is not kind to hair-dos. Remove any hair bands, clips or slides before you come in. Please attend your appointment with clean hair, Warm essential oils are incorporated to soften the skin and deeply condition the hair

Indian Head Massage is designed to promote stress reduction and relaxation. Avoid strenuous activities following your treatment.

Indian Head Massage is suitable to have during pregnancy after 3 months, however deep tissue work is avoided and only light strokes are used.

Contraindications

Please be aware that if you have any of the following conditions, an Indian Head Massage is NOT recommended. Treatment area is upper back, shoulders and head.

• Any recent head or neck injury, including whiplash and concussion.
• Severe bruising in the areas to be treated.
• Epilepsy.
• Recent hemorrhage.
• High or low blood pressure unless under control with medication.
• Migraine provided you are not having a migraine at the time of treatment
• A history of thrombosis embolism.
• Diabetes unless under control
• Infectious skin disorders such as impetigo. Herpes simplex and herpes zoster. Many non-infectious disorders such as acne and dermatitis may benefit from treatment.
•  Head lice.
•  Scalp infections such as weeping eczema.
•  Cuts and abrasions in the treatment area.
•  Recent operation. Full healing needs to take place as well as permission from your physician prior to receiving treatment.
•  Chronic fatigue syndrome.
• High temperature, illness and fever.
•  Any infectious disease.·      
• Intoxication.
• Meningitis, Inflammation of the Brain
• Haemophilia or blood illnesses
• Migraine (at the time of treatment)
• Cancer or any other serious medical condition while undergoing treatment
