Framing with an 8”x10” mat will give you some white space around the painting and allow you to see the full painting; plus, I like the “natural” edge of the painting.
You can also choose a 5”x7” mat, but it will cover up a small portion of the painting and you won’t have the extra white space. I really like this frame from Target.
