Contained in a large, fine quality presentation folder of red moroccan leather with embossed gilt German national eagle centered, Italian fasces in lower right corner and Italian Royal crest in upper left corner. Folder measures ca. 48x34x3cm. Reported to have been a gift to General Robert A. McClure from General Dwight D. Eisenhower as a memento of time serving together. Included is a photo of General Robert A. McClure and General George C. Marshall along with a 1932 Western Union Telegram to McClure as a Captain.
Max Amann (24 November 1891 – 30 March 1957) was a high-ranking member of the NSDAP Party. He was a German politician, businessman and art collector, including looted art. He was the first business manager of the NSDAP Party and later became the head of Eher Verlag (Eher Publishing), the official NSDAP Party publishing house. He was also the Reichsleiter for the press. After the war ended, Amann was arrested by U.S. military occupation authorities. A court deemed him a Hauptschuldiger (Major Offender). Amann was sentenced to ten years in a labour camp, stripped of his property, pension rights, and virtually all of his fortune. Amann was released from custody in 1953, and died in poverty in Munich four years later.

Beautiful version of this translation
I love this translation of the bible. the pages in this version are a bit thicker than my last copy and so there is less shadowing of the backside of the page making it easier to read. The slightly larger print also makes it easier to read.

Easy to understand
This is a great modern version of the New Testament, Psalms, Proverbs and Song of Songs. After buying one for myself, I bought one for a friend. She and I both love using it for Bible study. I plan to buy the Old Testament books they have versions for as well. I include a photo of a portion of 1 Corinthians 13, so you can see how it compares to other versions. Also, at the beginning of each book, there is an at-a-glance section, about section and a couple more pages with info about the book and context. There are notes at the bottom of each page to show similar translations for the words or an explanation of what its context is.

The Passion Translation (TPT)
I really appreciate the translation of this Bible. After using only the KJV all my growing up years, I am learning so much from this Passion Translation as it has study references to refer to for more help in addition to the helpful verse Translation. It does NOT have the Old Testament included but Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Solomon is included.
