De naalden zijn gerangschikt in een boogvorm met de buitenste naalden teruggetrokken ten opzichte van de middelste. De naalddiameter van 0,30 mm maakt het mogelijk om tatoeages nauwkeurig te zetten. De cartridge naalden 21 RM hebben een speciaal membraan. Dit voorkomt dat inkt en bloed in de machine-elementen terechtkomen.
