Découvrant l’arrogant Vilko Piran, arnaqueur de célébrités notoire, dans un talk-show télévisé, elle est séduite par son charisme et souhaite le voir jouer dans son prochain film. Elle entame bientôt avec lui une liaison qui la conduira à la ruine.
À PROPOS DU FILM: Adaptant son roman ABUS DE FAIBLESSE publié en 2007, Catherine Breillat s’inspire d’un fait réel dont elle fut la victime : l’affaire Rocancourt, du nom de l'escroc reconnu coupable d’avoir ruiné la réalisatrice. Dans ce film, la victime et le prédateur sont respectivement interprétés par Isabelle Huppert (VIOLETTE NOZIÈRE, LA CÉRÉMONIE) et Bruno Lopes, alias Kool Shen, cofondateur du groupe de rap Suprême NTM, vu notamment dans LA BEUZE et SOLDAT BLANC.
